Hi friends,
I wrote this to get sent last weekend. And I just saw this in my drafts and realised it wasn’t sent 😮 All this while I thought you’ve got this!
How strange.
Anyway, let’s dive right in ⬇️ I won’t edit one bit.
Hi friends,
I’m typing this newsletter from the airport right now. I had a pretty good opening line for today, but the urge to tell you what’s happening in my life is real.
Anyway, today we’ll talk about MONEY.
I don’t have this newsletter script, so I will type as it comes into my head as I’ve thought about it all week.
Plus a friend and I spoke about this two days ago which felt like a signal from the Universe to go ahead with the idea.
Let’s dive right in!
Money is not the root cause of evil.
Rich people are not undeserving of money.
Wanting money isn’t a bad thing.
Today I saw a Facebook post about an Indian couple being labelled as one of the wealthiest people in Britain… (was this another sign from the universe to write this today?)
The negativity in the comments was brutal.
People called them selfish, talk about poverty in India and the world, tell them to donate.
I mean… why? Let people decide what to do with what they have.
Also, it’ll be easier if we accept this one thing…
We all have different realities.
If I start comparing myself to people today, the list will be endless and I’ll only feel like I’m at rock bottom, without realising that I have so much to be grateful for.
And this goes for everyone because there will always be millions above us.
If you keep hating on people with money, it’s what you’ll get.
And let’s be honest, financial issues are super stressful. Nobody wants to deal with that.
So having enough for your needs isn’t bad.
But feeling like you don’t have enough all the time is a state of mind.
"When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you."- Lao Tzu
There is nothing wrong with wanting more if you’re doing it legally,, with the right intention, and without harming others.
Also, preferably with the intention of being of service.
Change your mindset
Vibrate on the frequency of abundance.
“Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into.” - Wayne Dyer
Be grateful for what you have.
If you call something evil, it definitely won’t like you.
So change your mindset and that’s where everything else will start.
When I had my corporate job, I had a goal to attain X amount before I turn 28. Now, I get that much in a few days and it means nothing.
Because with my 9-5, a huge motivation was money.
With what I’m doing now, money is a consequence of adding value. And that feels more wholesome. It feels like being a part of something bigger.
And that is the motivation that makes me wake up.
“The secret to wealth is simple: Find a way to do more for others than anyone else does. Become more valuable. Do more. Give more. Be more. Serve more.” ― Tony Robbins
Why am I telling you this?
"Remember, no more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand abundance and prosperity than is required to accept misery and poverty." - Napoleon Hill
Because if there’s something I’ve learnt in my time side hustling and self-employment, it is what all self-help books are tired of saying again and again:
Your mind is the only limit.
You have it in you to design your life.
And when you internalise this fact, everything will move to turn thoughts into things. If your intention is well directed, of course.
So if you desire a life with wealth, stop with the evil thoughts about the thing you desire. Objectively that’s a stupid thing to do, isn’t it? Wanting something that you pass negativity on.
Change your mind.
Work on creating a wealth mindset.
And then direct your energy to make it happen.
Books and podcasts helped me work on this mindset. And also binge-watching a lot of Ali Abdaal videos on YouTube.
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” - Albert Einstein
Does this make sense? This concept is so deep, that I feel I can talk in circles about it for so long but I hope words did justice to the articulation.
Hit reply and let me know. :)
Have a rejuvenating weekend.
Love,
N

Let's Talk Money!
"When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you." - a great quote, thanks for sharing!
I need regular reminders to "be present" with all that I have, while pursuing all that I want. Definitely an area of improvement for me
Relationship with money is deeply psychological - people have beliefs from their culture, parents, society. And they never update them as they grow up (and the environment changes). I've spent a few years updating my obsolete ones
Great premise to work on. And yes, it's a vast topic - look forward to how you explore it 🙂
My favourite book on this is the A-Z of affluence by Deepak Chopra. Changes your mind-set!!
