Hi friend,
I haven’t woken up this relaxed in weeks. It felt like something has been lifted off me.
You see, I’ve been working too much for 4 weeks on my LinkedIn Playbook which launched yesterday.
I write to you this on a Saturday and will send it on a Sunday because too many launch emails are going out today and I don’t want to spam you. But writing in past tense about the future is quite awkward…
So yes.
The stress took a toll on me. Actually, I’m getting used to it because I feel every since this year started something or the other ‘big’ has been happening which gets on to me for a few weeks.
First my course, then ebooks, and now this playbook. I hope for this to be my last product for this year.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the things you did. ~ Mark Twain
The first few years of doing your own thing are never easy, right?
Happy Anniversary NKS
On July 02, 2022, I complete a year of being self-employed.
What a ride it’s been. I mean, you’ve been with me through it all. I remember posting the announcement on this newsletter when I took this step
It’s been a rollercoaster ride.
On some days, it feels unreal that I wake up and get to choose how I want to spend my time.
But on most days, it isn’t a fairytale and is plain work. I sit and get to work for a few hours and do my own thing when I’m not working.
And during launch time, it’s close to burnout. Even when I’m not working, I’m still thinking of work while eating, bathing, sleeping, and exercising. This gets me mentally fatigued to a level that I can’t even show up at work. It’s unhealthy.
And I’ve been this way for the last couple of weeks.
A lesson that all that shines isn’t gold. ;)
Also, I get asked often if this was planned. Um, no. I quit to be a freelancer, not a creative entrepreneur. A series of random experiments led me here.
All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Realisation
I’ve also realised how internal shifts massively shape our environment on the outside.
Strive to be a better person every day
Have pure intentions
Do something to help others
Show up every day
In my one-year-long experience, this is the key to contentment.
Very unsexy advice, but it works.
So please, know that you have immense power inside you and you have it in you to tap into it and do great things. Do things that make you happy and keep you calm.
And since the intention of this newsletter is to make you feel healthier and happier, I will make sure to keep drilling this perspective into your head.'
The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience. ~Eleanor Roosevelt
