I Got Engaged!

I'm so happy to tell you that I got engaged on January 13, 2021. 💍
You know, at the beginning of 2021, I wrote down in my goal-setting journal about the qualities I want in a partner. Jai and I met a few months into 2021 and I kid you not, he was everything I wrote down.
I’m super excited about this new journey!
The universe indeed does have a way to conspire to your desires. :) So grateful.

Wish You Were Here by Jodi Picoult: She’s my #1 favourite author and this is her latest release. Fiction, of course.
Seduction by Robert Greene: Been reading 1 chapter a week because it’s quite heavy. It’s a book on how can you seduce the opposite sex using ancient strategies. I’m reading it after I heard his podcast which depicted that it can also be used to create marketing strategies in the modern age.

I’m More Stressed Than I Should Be
I miss my state of mind from 4 months ago.
I’ve grown too much too fast across platforms. My LinkedIn and Twitter shot up like crazy! And with my course, Summit 21 kicking in, the stress levels have increased to another dimension.
Because I’ve been meditating for a few years now, I can recognise that I’m being more negative than positive. My mind screws with me in more ways than it should and I don’t enjoy feeling this way.
If there’s anything I’ve learned when I underwent a complete mindset shift in 2021, it is that your entire world is a creation of your thoughts.
Each thought has the power to make or break your environment.
If I had the same thinking process last year, I would’ve never had the gutts to take bold steps.
Because of my mindset, I ended my year with a 145.5% hike in my paycheque whereas my company gave me a 5% hike for 1.5 years of work (more on this here).
Grateful to have quit my corporate job and exit the rat race for good.
I’m enrolling into Practical Stoicism.
This is a self-paced course with weekly calls from February 5-26, 2022.
Because there’s no way I’m living with this monkey mind.
The power of a thriving mindset is immense and I’ve seen it shift my life entirely, and I don’t want to let that go.
I’ve so far only read Ryan Holiday’s books on Stoicism and I’m in awe with this philosophy. I’ve recommended you his books in my previous posts as well because they’re eye-opening and easy to absorb.

This month has been so busy and stressful.
With Summit 21 cohort 2 kicking in and my mum and I going bonkers over the engagement event and outfit, I can’t wait to do nothing tomorrow and just breathe.
