Hi friend,
October seems to be the busiest month of 2023 for me.
I’m busy taking Summit 21 calls because we start tomorrow.
On top of that, I have also enrolled myself into an Ultraspeaking course where I have three calls a week from 8-9 p.m.
I think speaking is an essential skill because it can make you charismatic almost instantly. You know, when someone speaks well and you go like whoaaa.
So I want to learn it because apart from being a life skill it’ll help me on YouTube too.
And you know, I’m not used to so many calls on my calendar which is otherwise empty.
But the last few weeks have
left me feeling overwhelmed
and made me so energetic
Overwhelmed because managing time with a few calls each day is new to me. It was a daily routine back when I worked in an office job but right now is rare.
Energetic because of the mix of students I have this time.
For the first time, we have more women than men joining us.
They’re incredibly strong personalities and it’s a delight to speak to them, hear about their challenges (many have spent decades in a male-dominated workplace), and how they juggle everything like a pro.
I always say this - while folks join to learn from me, I’m the one learning from them all the time.
I’ll end by saying - there are people who are doing a stellar job at many things, but they fail to recognise it in them.
I spoke to a student this week and she told me confidently that she knows she’s skilled and has a lot to offer.
And I was pleasantly surprised!
Society has made us judge ourselves, and usually for the bad. We put ourselves down more than others do.
But I’m sure you’re doing a GREAT job at something, but you think it’s not a big deal and is what everyone is doing anyway.
I know it because I feel it too. I’ve come to a point where my wins leave me numb and indifferent, and I know that’s not a good thing. Earlier, I used to celebrate the smallest of wins!
So let’s get back to patting ourselves on the back, shall we?
Because we deserve this and so much more.

See you next week :)

Ultraspeaking is an incredible course. I took it a few months back and it was SOOOOOOO good.
Inspiring post. We do undervalue ourselves.
