Hi friends,
A very Happy Diwali to you all! I hope the Festival of Lights brings you and your family all the love, luck, and happiness in the world.
We are welcoming 118 new subscribers this week, so a huge welcome to you all :)
Today we’ll talk about:
Welcoming our new readers
My October Wrap Up
Going viral on LinkedIn for the second time
Let’s start right 🚀
Welcoming our new readers (old readers can skip)
118 new subscribers have joined in since this month started, increasing this family to 1360 readers. It still overwhelms me that over a thousand people have voluntarily subscribed to hear from me.
It feels unreal, to say the least, and I hope I keep adding value to your lives in whatever way I can to make this weekly newsletter worth your time. I follow one motto, that is - even if I impact one person, my purpose is fulfilled.
So a tiny intro?
I’m Niharikaa. I write on Medium and am active on LinkedIn and Twitter. I quit my full-time job at 25 in July 2021 and am a full-time writer and creative entrepreneur.
I work with clients globally to copywrite, have a free ebook on building a side hustles that has over 1300 readers (it was released on this day 9 weeks ago). I’m working on a few more things, but it’s awkward to write another paragraph about myself.
In this weekly newsletter, I write about things around self-improvement and random updates about life. Here are some older newsletters you can read:

My October Wrap Up
October was a good month for me.
What went well
✅ I got my first $$$/hour consulting client (yeah, baffles me as well that I’m paid to give an opinion)
✅ I can finally walk unassisted and go up and down the stairs!
✅ I published over 20 Medium articles
✅ I stepped out of my comfort zone often (hosting Twitter spaces, starting a writer's group)
What sucked
❌ Time management: I find it hard to find a balance between overworking and underworking. This happened to me in August too.
❌ I doubted myself consistently and needed other people to help me believe in myself
❌ I procrastinated my (to be released) ebooks
What I’ll do better in November
😌 Do a better job to balance work and life and spend more time with people I love.
Going viral on LinkedIn, again
For older readers, you know that I hit a million views on my post on July 02, 2021 (detailed article: read here). After this, I also got interviewed by Ash Jurberg who has interviewed the founder of Netflix in the past and is also a prolific writer on Medium.
On November 04, 2021, I went viral again!
In under 70 hours, I have 1.4 million views. It’s also the first time that I posted a picture on LinkedIn.
Here is what I learnt
The issue is, I didn’t want to upload it. I was too scared to put it up, too shy to put my picture on a professional networking platform. The story felt too vulnerable to be out there as well, and I was afraid of what will people think of me.
During a conversation with my mentor, he told me that what I do isn’t just for me but to serve others. Sometimes, that will require me to do things that make me uncomfortable.
And then, the stats went crazy! It took me less than 40 hours to hit a million views, which took 72 hours with the previous post.
So basically,
when you’re scared, it’s probably the right thing to do
worrying about what others think holds us back
look at the bigger picture
The bigger picture here is the impact I made, which you can read in the comments. Now when I look back, it was worth fighting my fear of being vulnerable online because all I got was love.

I hope you enjoyed reading this, and I will speak to you next week. Thank you for being a part of this!
